A Cantonese style recipe, the Chinese broccoli was boiled in hot water with salt and sesame oil added until tender, served with soy sauce topping.
14oz. Chinese broccoli
1/5 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp Chinese light soy sauce
Main ingredients you will need to make this Chinese broccoli recipe.
Peeled or cut off the hard stem at bottom. Rinse and drained thoroughly.
Slice into long strips, set aside.
Add enough water in a large saucepan to cover the broccoli. Bring to a boil.
Add the sesame oil in the water
Mix in salt afterwards, stirring well.
Combine together the vegetable to the boiling water.
Cook until the stalks are tender but crisp (3 – 4 minutes).
Turn off heat; remove with colander.
Set in a dry serving plate.
Drizzle the light soy sauce in a steady stream on the top of broccolis to cover the food.
Serve immediately with cooked rice.
