I love the combinations of light taste of asparagus with salty bacon, and stir fried in the wok with the intense flavor of onion, and with no further dressing, make the recipe natural taste and healthy.
10 oz. asparagus
2 oz. bacon
1/2 onion, sliced
1/4 tsp salt
Pepper powder for taste
Rinse asparagus and cut into 2-inch diagonal pieces, Peel and slice onion into strips, set aside. Heat frying pan to medium heat, add bacon with no oil. Lay them flat.
Heat at medium –high heat until oily and color changes dark.
Combine together red onion in the fry pan.
Stir fry until onions are softened but not over cooked.
Add the asparagus and cook, stirring and tossing, until bright green, 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Season with salt and pepper powder, taste and adjust seasonings if desired. Remove and serve hot.
