This authentic Chinese sweet and sour chicken recipe combines two distinct flavors that match together well; this dish is very popular and appears on many Chinese food menus as well as Pineapple Chicken.
2 big chicken thighs, boneless
10-15 fresh litchi/1/2 cup pineapple chunks
100 ml milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
Dash of black pepper and ginger powder
Vegetable oil for frying
1 tbsp cornstarch, mix in
3 tbsp water
3/4 cup orange juice/pineapple juice
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 tbsp lemon juice, optional

Peel litchi and cut chicken meat across the grain into bite-size pieces.
Crack egg and whisk with mil, soak the chicken in the mixture for 3 minutes.
Mix flour with pepper and ginger powder, dredge the chicken pieces and coat thoroughly.
Heat oil to enough hot in a wok, drop pieces and fry until deep golden brown, turn around to cook evenly, remove and drained.
